Following the official announcement of the General Administration of Customs No.2,2024 (Inspection, Quarantine and Sanitary Requirements of Imported Brunei Aquatic Products) on January 1,2024, the first batch of tuna (fish and yellow fin) was packed in the cold storage of Muara Port, a total of 26 tons. Today, it was officially shipped to Qinzhou Port in Guangxi, China, which opened the prelude to the Chinese-language aquatic products trade. Asia-Pacific Cold has become the first batch of enterprises in China to introduce the aquatic products in Brunei, realizing the promotion from the domestic cold chain operation to the whole chain service operator of the international cold chain supply chain.

Brunei is a rich country in Southeast Asia. In 2023, its GDP per capita is now at $37,667 Brunei, faces the South China Sea, with a 161-long coastline and an area of 38,600 square kilometers. It is located in the center of Southeast Asia and rich in Marine fishery resources. The coastline covers 18,418 hectares of the best-preserved mangroves in Southeast Asia, with large numbers of shrimp seedlings and fish fry breeding. The sea area of Brunei is not pollution-free, with no natural disasters such as typhoons and earthquakes. It is very suitable for Marine fishing and fish and shrimp breeding. The sea area is still the way of tuna wandering, and it is rich in tuna resources.

Mr Dickson Ho, president and CEO of the company, said that China and Brunei have established diplomatic ties since 1991 and become strategic partners in 2018, and the relationship between the two countries has become increasingly close. This is the first time Brunei aquatic products exported to Qinzhou port, the Apaccold through the fishing, frozen, storage, sorting, packaging and other link, Apaccold Brunei only set up more than half a year to realize the new development, new breakthrough, this is a very exciting news. In the future, we hope to working with more local fishermen, farmers, animal husbandry or related industries to deliver Brunei's high-quality aquatic products, fresh and frozen meat to domestic customers more efficiently, so as to promote a new economic and trade leap between the two countries.
