President and Chief Executive Officer Mr.Dickson Ho signed a memorandum of understanding online with MCA Kuantan Industrial Park Limited on behalf of ApacCold International – Memorandum of Understanding on Cold Chain Logistics Operation and Investment in MCA Kuantan Industrial Park. Relying on the interactive advantages of "two countries" and "double parks" and the unique location and route advantages between Kuantan Port and Qinzhou Port, we will build a cross-border cold chain supply chain between China and Malaysia, and cooperate to promote the optimization and upgrading of the logistics supply chain of the industrial park. Combined with the new land and sea corridor in the western region, we will seize the opportunity of RCEP, open up new channels for the import and export of the cold chain of ASEAN countries, and promote domestic and international dual circulation.
The construction of the "two countries" and "double parks" between China and Malaysia was launched in April 2012, which created a precedent and a new model of cooperation between the two countries in the world economic and trade exchanges. In the past 10 years, China and Malaysia's "two countries" and "double parks" have seized strategic opportunities such as the "Belt and Road", the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, the new land and sea corridor in the western region, and RCEP to promote pioneering and innovation, and the development and construction have achieved remarkable results. The signing of this event involved an amount of 2 billion yuan. The cooperation includes cold chain logistics and other projects that provide important logistics support for the construction of cross-border industrial chains relying on the advantages of "two parks" and "two ports", as well as projects such as bulk trade in non-ferrous metals and bird's nest and durian procurement that use the preferential policies of the RCEP agreement to expand commodity trade between China and Malaysia.
