On the morning of July 1,2024, a research team composed of relevant leaders and business team of Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce conducted a field investigation in Brunei Muara Port and visited the cold storage of Apaccold in Muara Port. The purpose of this survey is to deeply understand the cold storage situation of Muara Port and the Apaccold , and provide strong support for the economic and trade cooperation between Shandong and Brunei.

The research team had a detailed understanding of the port's facilities, operations and future development plans. As an important hub of economic and trade exchanges between the two countries, Muara Port has made remarkable achievements in infrastructure construction and customs clearance facilitation in recent years.

Then, the research team visited the cold storage of Apaccold, detailed understanding of the cold storage operation, technical characteristics, the cold storage advanced refrigeration technology and perfect facilities,  hope the two sides keep close exchanges, to explore the possibility of more cooperation, together for trade between the two countries.

On the same day, Guangxi China-Malaysia Investment Control Industrial Investment Group Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Investment Group Co., Ltd. led a team to investigate Muara Port, visited the exhibition of the flagship project of Guangxi-Brunei Economic Corridor, and went deep into the cold storage of Muara International Fishing Landing.

The leaders of the Group highly appreciated the construction and operation of the cold storage of Apaccold, believing that the project not only promoted the development of Brunei fishery, but also provided new opportunities for the cooperation between the two countries in agriculture, fishery and other fields. At the same time, we hope to rely on the platform of Muara International Fishing Port Cold Storage, gather surrounding fishery resources, further strengthen practical cooperation with Brunei under the "Belt and Road" initiative, and promote the continuous development of bilateral economic and trade relations.
